NOTES - "With such fine songs, fine sound and fine singing, the ShysterS belong in the top ranks of the world's rock bands," said Albuquerque Blaster of the ShysterS' seventh release. Includes the ShysterS' first appearance on the U.S. singles chart (198) with American Freak. Finally making their break in the States, the band threatens to follow the single up with New "Northerner" Baby and Stranded in the "USA's" House of Love. Time to Change
I Believe
Love Substitution
Run for Cover
I'm Makin' Her Sweat
Dancin' With Jim Morrison
She is Mine
I Love the Dream
I Left My Heart in Your Bedroom

NOTES - "The funny, raucous, ironic and even a tad triumphant Jim Morrison and Love Substitution, a somber, intense anthem about an ever-present, yet barely mentioned lost lover seem destined to become not only ShysterS classics, but classics of pop music itself."- Jim Duffy, Pulitzer CNP.

Some Kind of Wonderful

NOTES - "The ShysterS were not only one of the greatest pop-rock bands to come out of the Chicago-area, but perhaps the universe. While they accumulated unfounded success throughout rest of the world, the big prize - North America - always dangled just beyond their reach. It seems a bit ironic that these world travelers return home for this, their last live offering. Even more ironic is that Last Chance is likely the best capture of a live performance ever. A faultless documented conclusion of a brilliant career."- POPular Press

Banner - Banner

Banner - June 1996
Marry Me or Die!
The Song That Saved the World
Pain & Suffering
Tough
Pinch Me, I'm Dreaming
The Cheese Stands Alone
What is in Question?
The 7th Day
Sleep
Pink Gorilla

NOTES - ShysterS James Dague and Brian Hufnagl reunite as Banner. Determined to make a clean break from their past, the performance is credited only to "Banner". While they did succeed in keeping their identity a secret, the band and album itself pretty much remain a secret. Planned as a bold, harder-edged departure from the ShysterS, the end result sounds like the ShysterS playing some of their more rocking tunes.
